About Our Office and Surgical Staff

Oral and maxillofacial surgeon Brenton W. Burger, DDS, MS, practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery. He has over 20 years of experience. This includes the extraction of wisdom teeth, placement of dental implants, removal of oral and facial pathology, treatment of TMJ disorders, exposure and bracketing of teeth for orthodontics, and correction of malposition and malalignment of the jaws with orthognathic surgery. His particular interest is in placing dental implants for the single tooth to full mouth reconstruction for the entire dentition.

Dental Implants are designed to provide a foundation for replacement of teeth that look, feel, and function like natural teeth. The person who has lost teeth regains the ability to eat virtually anything and can smile with confidence, knowing that teeth appear natural and that facial contours will be preserved. Dental Implants are changing the way people live. With them, people are rediscovering the comfort and confidence to eat, speak, laugh and enjoy life.

The Prince William OMS also offers a variety of Cosmetic Facial Procedures including Botox, Xeomin, dermal fillers (Resylane, Juvaderm) to remove facial wrinkles and frown lines. We also perform chemical peels to rejuvenate the skin and to remove dark spots. We provide patients with a variety of medical grade skin care products for acne, sun protection and daily moisturizers to keep your skin rejuvenated. For more deeper wrinkles we offer Laser resurfacing, as well as a procedure called blepharoplasty to remove redundant skin on your eyelids. Look at the drop down menu under cosmetic facial procedures for more information.

Dr. Burger has two state-of-the-art facilities in the Northern Virginia area. Our custom built offices provide fully modern anesthetic procedure rooms where procedures can be carried out under either local anesthesia with nitrous oxide (laughing gas) or with local anesthesia with intravenous sedation and general anesthesia for your comfort.

Our surgical staff are fully experienced and highly trained in all phases of your treatment. They are highly trained in both anesthesia and surgical assisting. They are also certified in DAANCE (Dental Anesthesia Assistant National Certification Examination), CPR, OHSA and Dental Radiation Safety Certification.

Treatment/Surgery: Wisdom Tooth Extraction

0:01 "Okay, are you ready? I'm putting in a tooth rest now."0:10 "Putting in a spacer now; you'll feel some pressure."0:30 "Bite down now; you'll feel pressure again."0:55 "Good job. Now we'll do the other one. . ."??!!??! It took me longer to get numb than to remove the teeth.Dr. Burger is the man! He's like some mystical dental wizard, making wisdom teeth quickly disappear with just a few passes of his hands. Dr. Burger and his staff are outstanding, and the whole experience is as good as any trip to an oral surgeon can be. :)Our whole family has done wisdom teeth extraction with Dr. Burger, and the quality of care has always been top notch. We'd highly recommend him. Thanks, Dr. Burger!

Thank you, Mr. Muckerman!

Dr. Burger is fantastic!

Dr. Burger is fantastic! He was recommended to me by my dentist and he and his staff have been absolutely fantastic! They are upfront and answer any questions I have about "is this gonna hurt?" and are great with easing my anxiety over getting dental work done. I've had an extraction, bone graft and implant done by him and his staff and I couldn't be happier. They made me feel at ease and relaxed and whenever I have the "hmm..how much will this cost me?" question, they tell me exactly how much to expect to pay when I come in which is a huge relief as well! I could not be happier with Dr. Burger and his staff and while i hope I don't have any more dental issues that require his services, he would be my first choice in doing so!

Treatment/Surgery: Extraction

I had two badly infected molars that needed to be extracted. My fear of dentists is over the top, so much so that I need nitrous oxide to get my teeth cleaned. Need less to say, I was a wreck. I opted to be put to sleep, and had the wrong day on my calendar. I had a cup of coffee that morning, and the sleep was out of the question. The TLC and amazing talent of Dr. Burger made it a seamless, no pain visit. Even the next day, there was no pain. Not sure how he did It, but I have to say that if any one fears the dentist and/or pain, this is the place to go. And, his assistant was amazing as well. What a team!

Thank you, Michelle!
